The New Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG

It’s been around since 1979, this Mercedes G Wagon- as it used to be known- was built by Mercedes-Benz to compete as a rival for the much more expensive Land Rover Defender, but rapidly worked its way up market into Range Rover price territory. For 2013 Mercedes-Benz has given the G-Wagen a complete exterior and interior facelift. The “off roading enthusiasts” won’t mind the enhancements though given that the boxy design of the G63 AMG adds plenty of character to the new and improved model.
Under the hood the G63 AMG is a veritable monster. The G63 has enhanced immensely by packing 5.5 L twin-turbo V8 engines supplying up to 536 HP. Endowing the G63 AMG with some visceral performance, performance that will shame many a sportscar. Character and prestige is what it’s all about with this new car. It’s a symbol of power and luxury that makes you just a bit more special than all the other drivers on the road. The 0-100 Kph sprint will be dispatched in 5.3 seconds while top speed is an electronically limited 210 Kph. The prodigious power and torque generated by the V8 motor will be transmitted to all four wheels of the G63 AMG through a 7 speed automatic gearbox.
