Magellan Jets’ “Experience to Excel” Program Donates a Private Jet Experience and Vacation to Six Flags Great Escape to Deserving Boston Family

Magellan Jets’ “Experience to Excel” trip gives back to the local Boston community; providing a deserving family with a summer vacation that otherwise wouldn’t be possible. The Magellan Jets mission is to give the children the trip of a lifetime; the goal being to open their minds to the possibilities that come with success via education, hard work and integrity. Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino thanks Magellan Jets for recognizing a deserving Boston family.
On August 16, they sent the Santiago family on a private jet to Albany, NY to enjoy their four-day vacation at Six Flags Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Water Park. All ground transportation has been donated by Prism Livery and the stay at the resort has been donated by Magellan Jets. Joannie and Richard Santiago, along with their 4 children, Richard Jr. (18 yrs.), Joel (12 yrs.), Joshua (8 yrs.) and Reinaldo (7 yrs.) are more than deserving of the Experience to Excel.
Richard and Joannie Santiago are both very hardworking individuals who strive to provide for their family in order to give their sons every opportunity they can. Richard Jr. is a top student athlete and this summer he enrolled in classes to better himself academically; making school his top priority. The family will be picked up by Prism Livery on Thursday morning from and taken to the jet. Once they arrive in Albany, NY, at the Albany International Airport, there will be a waterworks show put on by Albany Airport’s fire department. From the airport, a car service will bring them to the resort.
Magellan has annually donated a private jet experience for charity at The Beckett Bowl, a charity bowling event hosted by The Josh Beckett Foundation (where most of the proceeds go to Children’s Hospital). The Josh Beckett Foundation has benefited from Magellan’s good will for the past three years. Magellan’s founders, Joshua Hebert and Anthony Tivnan are both Boston-bred and understand the value of hard work. CEO of Magellan Jets, Joshua Hebert is on the Board of Directors for Raising A Reader MA. This organization help families across Massachusetts develop the literacy routines that can change children’s lives. Anthony Tivnan, President of Magellan Jets, is a Board Member of Boston’s P.A.L., which Mayor Menino is also very involved in.
