Since the winter months are now upon us, we decided our destination of the week should involve a top skiing and snowboarding destination. This is why we picked Park City, Ut. With a combined 9,326 acres of The Greatest Snow on Earth, 426 runs, bowls and parks, and 58 lifts, it should come to no surprise that Park City provides the best winter vacation destination. Utah Olympic Park
Maybe skiing isn’t your cup of tea; Park City is also home to another popular venue during the winter, Utah Olympic Park. At the Utah Olympic Park you’ll get the chance to experience the incredible speed and g-forces of bobsled or individual rocket sled rides on the 1,335 meter bobsled track, or you can enjoy watching the athletes train or compete at speeds up to 80 miles per hour. In addition to world-class skiing and snowboarding, Park City hosts several events throughout the year including arts and cultural celebrations, film festivals, international ski and snowboard competitions, biking and year-round recreation for the whole family. Sundance Film Festival
One of the most famous events held in Park City, UT is the Sundance Film Festival. Over 50,000 film buffs will gather in Park City to enjoy the biggest annual independent-film festival held in the United States. January 17 through January 27, 2013, a new collection of independently produced films will celebrate their world premiere during this highly anticipated event.
