Joshua Hebert, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Before realizing his passion in the aviation business and prior to founding Magellan Jets in September 2008, Joshua Hebert worked as a Wall Street executive. It was at the prestigious firms of Shearson Lehman, Sands Brothers and Paine Webber where he solidified his knowledge and expertise in financial relations.

In 1997, Joshua returned to Boston and worked at The Boston Business Journal, a division of American City Business Journals, Inc., a Conde Nast company, as a Sales Manager. In this role, he increased sales by an 800% margin and earned the company its highest sales award for the next three consecutive years.

It was in 2000, when Joshua found his true passion in the aviation business when he helped build the new private jet company, Charter Auction. As the Director of Sales & Marketing he led the aircraft charter sales team to award-winning sales growth in 2001 when the company grew 600% under his direction. The following year, Joshua was promoted to Managing Partner and Executive Vice President, where he managed all of Charter Auction's Sales, Concierge, Aircraft Membership and Fulfillment Departments.

Joshua also oversaw all aspects of the Private Jet Membership Program and on-demand charter sales for the company, which would later be renamed Jets.com. In his last year at the company, he arranged the exclusive marketing deal with the New England Patriots.

In his rare down time, Joshua serves on several Board of Directors including The Heath Evans Foundation and Iowngreen.com, and previously Jets.com. He is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Magellan Jets.

 

Anthony Tivnan, President

Prior to becoming President and Co-owner of Magellan Jets, Mr. Tivnan served as Executive Vice President at Jets.com. During his time as a salesperson, Mr. Tivnan consistently was a top producer, and in his last year as a salesperson produced over 115% more in revenues than any other member of the sales team. Because of his strong sense of leadership and the ability to train and teach others, he was later promoted to Vice President and eventually Executive Vice President . His first task at hand was to begin training some of the techniques and processes that he had been so successful with himself. Mr. Tivnan started his career as a salesperson there in 2002, eventually working his way up to Vice President in 2006, and later promoted to Executive Vice President in 2008. As Executive Vice President, his responsibilities included managing the retail sales department by overseeing the sales force in Quincy, MA and New York City, NY, while also working closely with Jets.com's marketing and concierge divisions to build brand awareness and build strong customer and vendor relationships.

Mr. Tivnan completed pilot ground school at Alpha One Flight School in Plymouth, MA. Mr. Tivnan is on the Board of Directors at Magellan Jets as well as the Board of Directors of Iowngreen.com.

 

Amy Lampert, Director

Amy Lampert has over twenty-five years of management experience in the financial services industry, in roles ranging from sales and sales management to Directorships of Human Resources and Learning and Organization Development with Merrill Lynch, UBS, and Mellon Bank, and HSBC. As principal in Organizational Learning, Amy provides advice to companies and their executives on how to re-tool business development processes and performance management structures for optimum results while simultaneously creating environments that offer rewards to employees and the clients they serve.

Amy has written frequently as a consumer advocate for individual investors and has consulted internationally on customer-centered business development strategies for financial services companies. In 1998, Amy founded the not-for-profit Women’s Financial Network and continues today as the principal in a firm she founded called WomensWorth (www.womensworth.com), a company whose mission is to demystify the world of money through education and mentoring.

Ms. Lampert holds an M.A. and a M.ED. from Tufts University and has been a guest lecturer at Stern School of Business at New York University on the design and implementation of performance management systems.

Ms. Lampert belongs to The A. K. Rice Institute's Center for the Study of Groups and Social Systems, the Human Resources Council and is an arbitrator for FINRA (formerly the National Association of Securities Dealers). She is a graduate of the Organizational Development and Consultation Program (ODCP) at the William Alanson White Institute (WAWI) of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis and Psychology, New York and from the Securities Industry Institute at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Amy is a trustee of the Park School in Brookline, MA.., serves on the Brookline Commission for Women, is a director of Bedside Advocates, and The Life Planning Network.

 

Robert Friedman, Advisory Board Member

Mr. Friedman is the CEO of I. Friedman & Son, an industry leading manufacturer and distributer of diamonds and other high quality precious stones. They currently distribute throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. He comes from a third generation of diamond experts, and jewelers. I. Friedman & Son mainly deals privately to Celebrities, Pro-Athletes and Fortune 500 CEO’s. Aside from dealings in high end jewelry, Mr. Friedman is also heavily invested in commercial and residential real estate in Manhattan and Long Island.

Mr. Friedman attended American University, and is also a pilot. He is a collector of rare automobiles and enjoys boating on his down time.
