Israel Aircraft Industries originally introduced the Astra SP private jet in the late 1980's before it was renamed to the Gulfstream G100 in 2001. The Astra SP is recognizable by its low/swept wing, twin rear fuselage mounted engines, and abnormally sharp looking nose. It has a swept tailfin and low mounted horizontal stabilizer. Each side of the fuselage has 6 square looking passenger windows. The Astra carries up to 9 passengers and is piloted by a 2 man crew. The Astra SP cruises at speeds up to 465 and has a range of 3110 nautical miles making it a great choice in aircraft.
