Aviation Business Analyst

Overview

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Aviation Business Analyst will be trained as a Subject Matter Expert on Magellan Jets Jet Card and Membership Programs as well as expense reporting for all Magellan trips. In real time, the ABA will reconcile Jet Card usage and work alongside Flight Support Trip Managers and Sourcing Consultants to ensure financial accuracy.

qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Aviation Management, Aeronautical Science, and/or Finance.
  • Preferred previous experience within the Aviation marketplace
  • Demonstrate proven record of accomplishment in meeting and achieving goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be team and detail oriented, possess a positive attitude, and a strong passion and enthusiasm for customer satisfaction
  • Must have the ability to work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role will be a hybrid that will sit with both Magellan Jets Flight Operations Team and the Financial Team
  • The Analyst will be trained and then execute on how to successfully consolidate Magellan Jets products correctly using Price Book
  • Be the subject matter expert on validating customer flights are correctly tied to Magellan Jets’ client's accounts
  • Manage Jet Card Maturation, Jet Card Inactivity Process and Membership Annual Renewal Process
  • Conduct routine reconciliations of Jet Card Ownership accounts
  • Manage the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly consolidation of completed trips
  • Execute vendor payment via wire transfer and credit card
  • Review flight time calculations against Program Agreements to ensure accuracy based on terms and conditions
  • Review trip expenses in real time
  • Ensure receipts for incidental charges are tied to trips

Magellan Jets jet card ownership, jet membership, on-demand charter, aircraft sales and management are programs of Magellan Jets, LLC (Magellan Jets®). Magellan Jets (the Air Charter Broker) acting as an “Authorized Agent” for the Program Member (Charterer) shall; maintain non-owned aircraft liability insurance, and personal injury coverage, contract for transportation services with only FAR Part 135 or 121 Direct Air Carriers or their foreign Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) equivalent that operate and exercise full operational control over those flights at all times. Magellan Jets does not own or operate aircraft nor is a direct or indirect carrier.
