Luggage on Private JetHow Much Luggage Can You Take On board a Private Jet?

Are you chartering a private jet soon and curious about how much luggage you can take on board the jet? Consulting with your Private Jet Charter Consultant will provide you the best answer, but here’s some insightful information that could help you determine how much to pack before your trip.

The exact amount of luggage really depends on the type of aircraft, number of passengers, length of runway, and many other factors; But as a general rule, one bag per passenger on a light jet, two small bags per passenger on a mid-size jet, and large jets, such as a Gulfstream 650 or Global Express, have big baggage holds appropriate to handle ample amounts of luggage. Large jets are a good choice if you plan to bring recreational items onboard such as skis, golf clubs or other heavy items. Larger jets may have interior and exterior storage space which will provide more room. Always double check with your consultant before arriving with these items to make sure they can be accommodated appropriately.

Here is a break down on baggage capacity per private jet size category:

  • Light Jet- Holds approximately 5 to 6 pieces of luggage
  • Mid Size Jet- Holds approximately 7 to 8 pieces of luggage
  • Super-Mid Size Jet- Holds approximately 9 to 10 pieces of luggage
  • Large Jet- Holds approximately 11 to 15 pieces of luggage

** These are just estimates. Different aspects of your flight can change the amount of luggage allowed onboard.**
