Private Aviation Sets a Course for China

China has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the need to support that growth with private business jets is being crippled by 20th century infrastructure, burdening regulatory policies, and very few executive and municipal airports. Those who conduct business in China may find travelling there privately a burden; however, Chinese officials seem to be taking steps to make their country more accessible by private jet. Recently, Textron announced plans to partner with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to develop the nation’s general and business aviation manufacturing capability, in addition to the infrastructure needed to grow aviation within China’s borders. Business jets would greatly benefit domestic companies that manufacture in China in addition to helping sustain the growth China is experiencing.
