The Jet Business, an aircraft broker, has opened the world's first corporate aviation showroom for business jet aircraft in London's Hyde Park Corner. This exclusive location is just the starting point. They have plans to open a store in the Chinese city of Beijing as well as another in New York City. The showroom is the brainchild of Steven Varsano who strongly advocates this user-friendly way of testing the product.
The featured example is the Airbus ACJ319 cabin. Beyond the cabin is a private meeting room featuring a large video wall on which sample interiors can be displayed, as well as extensive data about available aircraft options. During visits to the store, clients can sit down with The Jet Business team and use customized iPads to work through various options and sets of data (all of which can be viewed on the large screens). The company has developed its own application for the aircraft selection process.

The 2012 Beijing Auto Show may very well be considered the Olympic Games for the global automotive industry. It is where top automotive manufactures go every year to showcase their latest masterpiece. Every sport, and every industry, has their elites who take home gold metals and win distinctive recognition year after year. Rolls Royce is a legend in the luxury car realm and has been highly regarded since the company’s infancy. Per the Rolls Royce standard, they did not disappoint in Beijing this year as they continue to advance their already perfect Ghost model. How do you perfect perfection? By taking innovation to the next level and doing the impossible. Rolls Royce unveiled their new design concept in Beijing called the Ghost Six Senses model to much intrigue by the 2012 auto show attendees. Still on the drawing board, the Ghost Six Senses sedan is designed to “ignite the senses” long before the driver ignites the V12 engine.
The human body is only equipped with five sense which is why Rolls Royce is designing a car to enable its driver to experience the “sixth sense”. Academically defined as “a supposed faculty giving intuitive or extrasensory knowledge” the sixth sense is the ideal name for a deserving vehicle designed to highlight the human body’s natural senses. Sight, sound, taste, smell and feel all interact with the luxury sedan as it wisps its occupants along in unsurpassed style, luxury and safety. From a cool box in the rear to chill champagne, to the trunk lined with lamb’s wool to coddle its contents, the Ghost Six Senses will be designed with no shortage of innovation from bumper to bumper.
China has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the need to support that growth with private business jets is being crippled by 20th century infrastructure, burdening regulatory policies, and very few executive and municipal airports. Those who conduct business in China may find travelling there privately a burden; however, Chinese officials seem to be taking steps to make their country more accessible by private jet. Recently, Textron announced plans to partner with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to develop the nation’s general and business aviation manufacturing capability, in addition to the infrastructure needed to grow aviation within China’s borders. Business jets would greatly benefit domestic companies that manufacture in China in addition to helping sustain the growth China is experiencing. Cessna has a successful history in establishing service and training centers for their aircraft worldwide. Hopefully, with China’s cooperation, Cessna can expand its horizons across the Pacific and make business aircraft more accessible in the World’s fastest growing economic region. Magellan Jets is proud to offer our clients the most convenient, safe and luxurious private jet experience possible and we look forward to building our reputation as the leader in private jet charters across the Far East.

Two MA600’s are operating in China for training reasons right now and the third is being used at the Dubai Air Show. From October 10-12, 2011, Magellan Jets proudly attended NBAA’s (National Business Aviation Association) conference which was held in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the aviation industry insiders, this annual event is imperative to attend for both networking and educational purposes alike. As a business tool, this convention yields amazing results for well-respected operators and industry specialists to unite. Buying decisions are weighed and executed at the NBAA and the relationships formed set the stage for the upcoming year. Magellan Jets spent the first day on the convention floor, interacting with exhibitors and other attendees. On Tuesday, they moved onto the Static Display of Aircraft at Henderson Executive Airport where the latest aircraft models were present for the attendees to view and explore.
CEO of Magellan Jets, Joshua Hebert, and Anthony Tivnan, President of Magellan Jets, spent their time meeting with the press. Magellan Jets’ introduction of their iPhone app, fused with the technology of DocuSign and their entry into the Chinese market garnered attention and respect from peers in the industry and truly positioned Magellan as a leader amongst private charter brokers.
Magellan Jets Enters the Private Aviation Market in China and Launches a Range of Specialty Services
Magellan Jets is Providing Students and Families in China with Private Jet Transportation to the U.S., Elite Concierge Services and Top-Tier Medical Expertise
Boston, MA. – July 25, 2011 –Magellan Jets is pleased to announce their expansion into the Chinese market. Now, all types of Chinese travelers can enjoy Magellan Jets’ prestige private jet and concierge services. China has recently advanced in transportation across the board; they currently have the world’s fastest train, the world’s largest high-speed rail network and they recently set a new world record for making and selling 18 million vehicles in 2010. The past several months have seen Chinese private aviation regulations relaxed. In turn, more people are turning to private jet charter for their travel and business needs. Magellan Jets will seize this tremendous opportunity to serve clients who now have access to private jet travel.
The first service that Magellan Jets will launch in China is the Cultural Educational Charter Service, the only of its kind in the industry, which will not only transport Chinese students to the U.S. for their higher education, but also see that all of their needs are tended to once they touch down. As the education of this child is extremely important to the family, Magellan Jets understands how imperative it is to aid the student in acclimating to their new environment and putting their families at ease.
“We are thrilled to be able to enter into the private aviation market in China,” says Magellan Jets CEO, Joshua Hebert. “This is a great time for us to enter China and we would like to be the trusted source of establishing Chinese students and families.”
Magellan Jets will also provide assistance with personal letters of invitation and consultations for U.S. Visa Applications and EB-5 Investor Immigration Business opportunities, which provide Green Cards for Magellan’s clients. A Green Card (or Permanent Residency) gives the holder, and his or her immediate family, the right to live, study and work anywhere in the US. There are many Visa categories, and while some allow for a green card after you have been in the USA for a period of time, most do not. The EB-5 Visa is unusual in that it provides a green card at the outset and that it is the only Visa which allows retirement to the US. It also provides the flexibility to live anywhere, study or take any job, own and operate any business, and to change employment or career without restrictions.
Families in China who seek to send their children to the U.S. to pursue their education may now turn to Magellan Jets as their complete private jet travel and concierge solution. A team of specialists in the fields of medicine and real estate will work closely with Magellan Jets to fulfill all requests so that parents who utilize Magellan Jets’ services can be confident that their child will travel safely and will be taken care of once they arrive in the U.S. Students will be provided with a complete package; flights to and from China, and an array of world class services and amenities.
Magellan Jets has appointed Stephen Huntsman as Global Advisor and Chief Business Development-Director of Sales for the Asia market. Mr. Huntsman plays a key role in deal origination, negotiation and implementation with intimate Chinese Government officials and world class relationships.
The initial step in Magellan Jets’ Cultural Educational Plan is for the client to have a complete evaluation with Magellan Jet’s U.S. based consultant, Li Jing. Ms. Jing is an internationally famous TV host and producer, and a Wharton Business Journalism award winner. Having studied and lived in both China and America, Jing has extensive experience in how to successfully adapt to different cultures. Her goal is to counsel the clients to aid in their adjustment to living in the U.S.
Based in China, Magellan Jets has a point of contact who will also act as a consultant in this process, David Xu. David Xu has been named the Magellan Jets Charter Agent in China. Mr. Xu attended Harvard where he studied Private Equity and Venture Capital.
Additionally, private Air Ambulance flights are available if necessary. Dr. Robert Glatter has been appointed as the Director of The Magellan Jets Travel Response Team; he is on call 24/7 to assist with all medical issues. Dr. Glatter is a board certified emergency medicine physician and is currently an attending physician at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Dr. Glatter has also served as a sideline physician and medical consultant in the NFL for the New York Jets from 2004-2007. Dr. Glatter currently serves on the Board of the Worldwide Children’s Foundation of New York (www.WWCF.org), providing lifesaving and life altering surgeries to children throughout the world. He also serves on the editorial board of Medscape Emergency Medicine, an affiliate of WebMD, providing educational support to practicing physicians.
In order to provide its Asian clients with seamlessly integrated private jet charter options, Magellan Jets has partnered with OrientSKYs private jets, who will be providing logistical and operational flight support. Since 2006 OrientSKYs has provided sales, marketing and business development services to Jet Asia Limited and continues to use Jet Asia as its preferred aircraft operator. Established in Macau in 1995, Jet Asia has earned the reputation as one of Asia’s premier executive charter fleets and was the first Asian business jet operator to have achieved safety certification under the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operators (IS-BAO).
Once the logistics concerning the travel arrangements are solidified, other plans may be made for the initial family trip (if requested) to visit Universities for selection and interviews and the official trip to bring the student abroad. Magellan Jets is fully equipped to make the student’s life post-move a seamless transition. They will help with all purchase requests, including cars, parking spots and moving the student into their living space. Private drivers can be made available to the students if so desired. Additionally, Magellan Jets has a superior team in place to deliver all security-related needs. Before any of these services are taken advantage of, Magellan Jets will utilize their exclusive alliance with top-tier real estate companies to lease or buy housing for the student.
Magellan Jets China charter services are not just for families. They will also launch charter services that appeal to high-rollers and businessmen. Magellan Jets has been offering travel from all points throughout Asia; Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenyang; and globally to the hottest gaming destinations in the world; including Macau and Las Vegas. An exclusive three-day private jet exposition catering to China’s elite was held this past weekend at the Hongqiao International Airport in Shanghai. A Gulfstream G450 was on exhibit the first day of the event, allowing visitors the chance to see a cutting-edge private jet.
The China Business and Private Jet Expo featured a display of private jets, demonstration flights, and exhibition pavilions. It was the first show of its kind on the Chinese mainland. As it's economy rapidly grows, China is trying to prime the market for a massive increase in demand that will open airspace for private jets in the near future.
Magellan Jets has great relationships with several private jet charter providers that can operate to and within China. We are excited to be available to such a rapidly developing area of the aviation community.

Shanghai Deer Jet Co, a subsidiary of HNA Group, China's fourth largest commercial aviation group, has won permission from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) to provide business aviation services, the Oriental Morning Post reported.
Business aviation service is attractive to high-end customers, as it allows them to decide their own routes and departure times and can cover remote areas, compared with general commercial flights. The service is still administered by a uniformed aviation safety system.
Deer Jet owns two Hawker 800XP jets, which it will use for high-end customers. The jets provide meeting areas, bars, restrooms, sound equipments, DVDs, satellite telephones and Internet access, which enable passengers to work during the flight.
In recent years, many airline companies have eyed the great potential in the business aviation market.
But China's business aviation industry is still in its infant stage. Only four domestic companies — Deer Jet, Air China Business Jet, Shanghai Airlines, and Shandong Rainbow Business Aircraft Co — operate business jet services with no more than 30 planes, mainly in Beijing and Shanghai, and over 80 percent of the flights are on international routes.
Most of the companies have mediocre performances and some have seen long-time losses.
Ma Xulun, general manager of Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines, China's third largest carrier by fleet size, said they provide aviation services for other companies' jets, but have no plan to introduce their own business jets within the next two years.
China Eastern is set to increase its Shanghai market share to 50 percent from the current 35 percent after taking over Shanghai Airlines. Shareholders of both companies approved the proposed merger last month.
Airbus, the European plane manufacturer, said last Wednesday that it expects private jet sales to rebound in 2010 behind a fast-growing Chinese market.
According to Francois Chazelle—vice president of executive and private aviation at Airbus Middle East—more and more Chinese billionaires are considering purchasing private jets due to their convenience compared to commercial flights.
“We do see the market bouncing back, with the largest number of expressions of interests coming from China,” said Chazelle.
He said that the interest would be particularly special among Chinese businessmen in the oil trading industry, construction, and other chemical sectors, who are looking to purchase companies after the financial crisis.
Right now, the proportion of billionaires owning a private jet in China are about a tenth of that in the United States. Chazelle admitted that the industry did experience a slowdown this year, but it did not completely breakdown.
