Praised for its performance capabilities and operating costs, the midsize Hawker 750 utilizes the same fuselage and wing design of Hawker’s 800 series, but trades some of that series’ extended range for increased baggage and cabin space. Where jets like the 800XP have a ventral fuel tank, the 750 has a new luggage compartment, a difference that gives the 750 slightly better runway performance. The 750 continues Hawker Beechcraft’s legacy for reliability—in the words of Business Jet Traveler, “When it comes to business jets, these things are tanks.” Production ran from 2008-2012, though this dependable workhorse is still in demand as a passenger favorite.

INTERIOR
The Hawker 750’s cabin is designed with spacious headroom for maximum passenger comfort. Its eight-passenger cabin measures 21 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 6 feet high for a total cabin volume of 604 cubic feet. Losing that ventral fuel tank helped to give the jet greater baggage space than its predecessors—there’s 47 cubic feet of stowage inside the cabin that can be accessed during flight, as well as an additional 32-cubic-foot, heated, externally-accessed compartment that can hold up to 500 pounds of luggage and gear. The cabin includes five individual executive seats that can slide, swivel, and recline according to the passenger’s desires. Typical configuration also includes a three-place divan. Passengers are able to control cabin temperature, lighting, and entertainment systems via LCD touch screens. The cabin also includes a forward galley with all the essentials, including a microwave and coffee maker. Additional amenities include a belted lavatory seat and wardrobes to fit more storage.
PERFORMANCE
The Hawker 750 is powered by two Honeywell TFE731-5BR engines, which enable the aircraft to reach speeds of up to 465 kts and produce 4,660 pounds of thrust per engine. When flying with four passengers and NBAA IFR reserves, the jet can cover up to 2,100 nautical miles, making trips like Chicago to LA or London to Moscow possible. According to Business Jet Insider, the Hawker 750 burns 20 –percent less fuel than the 800– series Hawkers, while still retaining the ability to climb to 37,000 feet in just 19 minutes.
Also notable is the aircraft’s rugged mobility—it can land on grass and gravel runways. Coupled with the fact that it can land on shorter runways than the other 800-series Hawkers (another benefit of ditching the ventral fuel tank), it provides private fliers with access to even more remote destinations.
AVIONICS
The Hawker 750 utilizes the Rockwell-Collins Pro Line 21 suite, an integrated avionics system designed to enhance a wide range of business and commercial and military aircraft. Information including turbulence-detection weather radar, navigation charts, and maps are displayed across four 8x10-inch AMLCD screens. There’s also an Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System, Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System, and Engine Indicating System.
